How is the anti-fog property of PVC Plastic Wrap achieved?

During the production process of PVC Plastic Wrap, a very thin layer of surfactant is coated on the surface of the film, which is usually called an anti-fog agent. Anti-fog agents can reduce the surface tension of the cling film, making it difficult for water vapor to condense into water droplets on the surface of the cling film, but forming a uniform water film, thereby maintaining the transparency of the cling film and preventing the formation of fog.
Thermoforming anti-fog technology is to form a special film layer by heat treatment on the surface of the cling film. The key to this special film layer's ability to effectively prevent water vapor condensation lies in its unique microstructure. This structure is usually composed of many tiny protrusions, grooves or nanopores, which work together to change the wettability and hydrophilicity of the surface of the cling film. When water vapor contacts such a surface, it will be guided by these microstructures to form an extremely thin and evenly distributed water film, rather than visible water droplets in the traditional sense. In this way, the cling film not only maintains a high degree of transparency, but also avoids the problem of blurred vision and damp food caused by water vapor condensation. Whether it is a cold environment where water vapor is easy to condense under low temperature refrigeration conditions, or a hot and humid environment where water vapor evaporation is accelerated, this technology can maintain a stable anti-fog effect. This is due to the stability and durability of its microstructure, which can still work effectively under various temperature and humidity changes.
The anti-fog technology of non-condensation coating is to spray a layer of transparent non-condensation coating on the surface of the cling film. The key to the non-condensation coating's ability to effectively prevent water vapor condensation lies in its unique physical and chemical properties. The surface of the coating has been specially treated to have extremely low surface energy, making it difficult for water molecules to form stable attachment points on it, thereby avoiding the formation of water droplets. At the same time, the coating may contain nanoparticles or special additives, which can interact with water molecules to further promote the uniform dispersion of water vapor, forming a layer of almost invisible water film, and maintaining a clear view of the cling film.
Through the implementation of the above anti-fog technology, PVC Plastic Wrap can effectively prevent water vapor from condensing into water droplets on the surface of the cling film, thereby maintaining the transparency of the cling film and the freshness of the food. This anti-fog performance not only improves the visual effect of food packaging, but also extends the shelf life of food.
